Omaha, Nebraska (June 13, 2007) - Late last year, one of Solutionary's Security Operation Center researchers, Chris Ries, notified Microsoft of a code execution vulnerability in Microsoft Visio. Ries submitted details of his discovery to the Microsoft Security Response Center.

On June 12, Microsoft released a bulletin to address the issue, and the following acknowledgement:

"Microsoft thanks Chris Ries of VigilantMinds (now Solutionary) for working with us to help protect customers. We are rating this as a critical severity vulnerability and are recommending that all Visio users that have the affected version apply the software update immediately. [We] want to sincerely thank you for ... helping us protect and secure our customers."
